Friday Night Box Work

So many of my students request box work to help with their handling skills. So once a session, we put together a box work skills night where handlers and dogs can work on their handling without the worry of contacts or weave performance.

These "mini workshops" are open to all Martini's Ranch students whose dogs can sequence up to 10 jumps/tunnels, can execute front and rear crosses, and have been introduced to serpentine patterns and pull throughs (although you need not have perfected them).

There will be 6 to 8 mini courses to run each mini workshop and up to 10 dogs may participate. Signup prior to boxwork to hold your spot. First Come, First Served.

Cost is $40.

 Postional Cues Explained

Ever wondered what people mean by - I have to get to "position"  - while they walk and analyze their course at a trial? Well here is your chance to find out!

Positional Cues class is a 2 session class where the mechanics of each positional cue (based on the Greg Derrett Handling System) is explained and how each is taught to your dog.

The next Beginning Positional Cues class is tentatively schedule to begin Next session - Mid June - Monday's at 6:00pm.

In Memory of "Seven"

January 20th, 2006 - January 13, 2012 

We lost our sweet bouncy boy, Seven,  to a rare and difficult to treat auto-immune desease January 13th, 2012... just shy of his 6th birthday. Although it is incredibly hard to write about him at this time, I was able to put together a slideshow to share with friends and family. He not only was an incredible agility dog, but he was our pet, our friend, our family. Hopefully this slide show will express how special he was.
